Day 1. After being met from your flight we set off for the hotel driving up into the mountains on the road to Ronda, which has spectacular views of the mountain landscapes, and you will also be able to see the views back to the Mediterranean and the mountains of North Africa. We continue onto the hotel, where you can freshen-up, get your bearings and relax. We all meet up for an evening meal together at the hotel and try out its excellent 3 star farmhouse restaurant. This is a chance to meet everyone and get to know one another.

Day 2. After a relaxing breakfast, we meet up and discuss what you wish to achieve from the week’s tuition. If you are a beginner, there may be many basics you want to go over. For the more experienced artist you may wish to try out new techniques in a fresh and inspiring environment. We start our painting sessions in the hotel grounds and work through to late afternoon. This is a chance for some close tuition in the unique setting of the hotels shaded stone circle, which offers the freedom for everyone to concentrate and paint whenever they wish.

Day 3. We start today with more painting tuition at the hotel until mid-day. We then drive about 8 miles to the medieval village of Zahara de la Sierra for a light lunch. The village has wonderful views of the turquoise lake at Zahara, along with lovely old buildings including an old fort, and walks around the village which provide panoramic views of the surrounding area. We stop here for the afternoon allowing you time to paint the scenes of the village or the surrounding area. We then drive back to the hotel for the evening taking the advantage for more painting or simple reflection of the day.

Day 4. There is another mornings painting session at the hotel. After lunch we set off for a half day outing to Ronda. The drive to Ronda is only about 15 minutes, and the half day trip allows plenty of time to explore this ancient city. The rest of the day in Ronda is up to you and you have the opportunity to choose where to eat for your evening meal, but we do give you some recommendations. You can then wander around Ronda taking in the wonderful sights, the traditional architecture and look round the shops.

Day 5. The day starts again with a painting session at the hotel untill late morning. We then drive a little further into the Grazelema Natural Park, allowing stop offs for those who want to take photographs. We then stop off at the village of Grazelema for lunch, after which you are free to explore this typical Andalucian village where there are many quiet corners where you can sit and paint. We then drive back to the hotel by a different and very scenic route in the late afternoon.

Day 6.This is a flexible day where we choose as a group where to go painting, with a choice of any of the white villages or for more rugged scenery of the natural park. Most days we have time for both and we usually take lunch out.

Day 7. We get together for more painting tuition in the morning at the hotel, where you have the chance to finish some work, ask questions and get any additional tips and help you require. We have lunch together in the hotel, and in the afternoon there is the opportunity to continue painting and finishing work. We get together late afternoon for a summing up of the week, get your feedback, and find out how people feel the week went. We have our final evening meal together at the hotel.

Day 8. This is your leaving day with a final early breakfast together. This is the time when phone numbers and addresses are swapped. We leave at 8.00, to arrive at Malaga airport at around 10am, but we can be there earlier if needed.
