Ian has a quiet, relaxed yet enthusiastic manner. Talks to each student at their own level. Encourages one to have a go at different tactics using different mediums.
I feel I have achieved my main aim – to remove my fear of using colour and to find out what medium best suits me. It has been a pleasant surprise to discover such things as watercolour pencils and find out how to use acrylics, oils and watercolours. I now feel I can have a go alone and find a way of expressing myself and spending time doing something enjoyable and relaxing."

Very many thanks for a lovely holiday, I feel I learned a lot about water colour. I have treated myself to some new water colours and brushes and now I am going to carry on painting. I thought the hotel was really nice and the setting beautiful. Ian was a good kind teacher and I hope I wasn't too big a task for him.
